Question:

How do I change the ownership name on real property?
Answer:

The only way to change the ownership name on Real Property is to record some type of legal document with the Mohave County Recorder.

The recorded information will be sent to the Assessor, who will change the ownership name on the tax roll. Taxes are due and payable, whether or not the owner receives a tax notice. The tax lien attaches to the property each January, regardless of ownership.

You can also contact an attorney or title company for assistance.  To contact the Recorder's office call 928-753-0701.
